Counting down to the 2018 Australian Rope Skipping Championships

It's less than 20 days until the Northbridge Knockouts compete at the 2018 Australian Rope Skipping Championships at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.

Held from June 9-11, 2018, more than 270 athletes will be attending this year, ensuring a thrilling three days of skipping.

It's particularly exciting event for our contingent heading to the World Championships, with a Team Australia Day being held on Friday, June 8, prior to the 2018 Australian Rope Skipping Championships .

The event is a wonderful opportunity to unite Team Australia and allow them to bond, learn and socialise collectively before heading overseas as a national squad in July.

Skipping Australia has engaged with a number of sporting professionals to put together a program that will form the inaugural event for Team Australia and provide a learning opportunity for our athletes, coaches and officials.

The program will deliver advice from allied sports specialists and include topics from the following disciplines:

• Elite Athlete Management/Athlete Strength Training

• Sports Chiropractic

• Sports Psychology (The mental side of competition)

• Injury Prevention and Management

• Dietician – sports focused (pre-championship, championship, recovery)

• Australian Anti Doping Agency

• Dedicated Worlds Team Training (60 mins)

Thank you Skipping Australia for all the hard work involved in organising the day.
